HOLOGRAPHMAGAZINE.COM is a Seattle-based online showcase for literary and visual art fusions, or what we call “literary graphica.”
WHAT IS LITERARY GRAPHICA?
Literary graphica is an image composition that combines visual art with linguistic components. For example:
- drawings, paintings, mixed-media pieces, digital renderings, photographs, etc. that incorporate language and/or linguistic characters
- illustrated poetry or prose
- comix or cartoons with dialogue or narrative
FOUNDING EDITORS:
ROZ FOSTER is a writer living in Seattle. With her co-conspirator, Gabe Marihugh, she founded HolographMagazine.com. Roz earned her BA in English Literature at UC San Diego (with her junior year spent at the University of Sheffield, UK) and she received her MA in English (with an emphasis in Creative Writing/Composition&Rhetoric) from Portland State University, Oregon. She spent five years as a research writer in consumer products marketing providing qualitative research analyses and strategy recommendations to companies such as Epson, Graco, Mattel, Memorex, Nestle, Orbitz, Philips, Sony, Warner Bros., Verizon and more. GABE MARIHUGH is an illustrator and the designer/developer behind Creative Levity, a Seattle-based web design studio specializing in Flash interactive, animated design for the web. With his co-conspirator, Roz Foster, he founded HolographMagazine.com.
